Turkish food is a lot like lots of food from that chunk of land surrounding the Mediterranean Sea, except everything has a different name. Tabuli is called Kisir, Patlican Salatasi means babaganoush, and Doner is another word for Gyro. Unlike most places in Columbus, Café Shish Kebab makes their own Doner. It doesn’t come pre-spooled and ready to slap in one of those rotisserie contraptions. They blend their own lamb and beef, so they can season it the way they want it. You may not know it yet, but that’s the way you want it, too. You also want their falafel, and some lentil soup. Fortunately, the Lunch Special ($7.95) comes with soup (or salad) and dessert.
