With her model looks, elegant charm and beautiful smile, it’s no wonder that Michelle Moore is a former Mrs. Ohio and successful marketing guru. A Columbus native, Moore is a senior consultant for Paul Werth Associates and president of her own marketing firm, as well as the State Director for the Mrs. Ohio America pageant.
Somehow Moore still finds time to be a part-time model (her legs recently graced a recent DSW billboard hanging over the NY Stock Exchange), as well as mother to her two children and wife to her husband (her two most important roles). Moore wants to make every second in life count. “I don’t want to look back and say I wasted that opportunity,” she says. “I appreciate everything in my life, because I have learned how to slow down and make time for everything that is important to me: work life and home life.”
Moore has always been a doer, from her very first job out of college as the marketing director for a sleep center to making Columbus Business First’s “40 under 40” in 2003 to her reign as Mrs. Ohio. She believes that women have unique talents that men don’t have in the workforce, and that often, after women have children, they stop nurturing these talents. “The Mrs. Ohio competition gives women a chance to say what is in their hearts and share the message that is important to them,” says Moore. “It also challenges women to ask themselves ‘How can I make myself better?’”
